If you have an unlocked iphone it should work in Bolivia (or any other GSM carrier around the world), it can be an unlocked by carrier or jailbroken phone. If you have AT&T and enable roaming you will also be able to get calls and make them locally (in Bolivia), for a hefty price.

Hello... Amazing how african countries are getting the iphone service before than Bolivia. I had other touchscreen phones but when it comes to productivity and email connection, iphone has not rivals. I live in the US by now, soon I expect to get back to Bolivia, I do pretty much everything from my iphone, it spurred up my productivity a lot, specially with the emails, I do not have to be locked

well..... ur still lucky u can use unlocked iphones there... in south korea, everything is locked; sim cards & phones..... no one can use iphones in korea. but at least today they announced the government will allow iphone to come in..... after 2+ years.. JEEZ!
